cadenced echoes through dark corridors of time

I have taken them in with passionate embrace,

unlike flowers of the dead, and not dead we grieve

among them with heart to live purely love's sweet attributes

the gods have vanished, relegated below the sea

in caves of salt forgotten, but for the blind scoffers

who know this much and see less further

where there are no gods.
